Information

In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. And he came to her and he said, "Hail, O favored one, the Lord is with you." But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and considered in her mind what sort of greeting this might be. And the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus."

(Saint Luke 1.26-31 RSV)

The 9th Saint Gabriel's Conference:
October 17 - 19, 2008
at Calvary Retreat Center, Shrewsbury, MA

The Archangel Gabriel announces to the Blessed Virgin Mary that she, above all women, has been chosen by God the Father to give birth to Jesus, the Redeemer of the human race. Jesus will save human beings from the deadly power of their sins, the devil, and the strangle-hold of death. Thus begins the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world.

The Saint Gabriel's Conference, founded in 1999 by a group of New England Anglican clergy, seeks to present the full Gospel of Christ in the context of the historical tradition of the Catholic and Evangelical Faith, as received and lived out by Anglican Christians. With teaching on the doctrine, worship, and morality of the historic Christian Tradition, we seek to proclaim the full Gospel of Jesus Christ through the power and indwelling of the Holy Spirit, for the upbuilding of His Church and the equipping of adult Christians for their mission in the modern world.
